This probably isn’t going to go the way you’re expecting.
I always forget that when it comes to Isaiah, I am the foreigner. Isaiah wouldn’t have touched me with forty-cubit pole. I don’t even use kosher salt.
With that in mind, have I bound myself to him to minister to him and for him? Yes. I think my life shows that (I hope), and I love his name, and deep down love to be his servant.
And what’s the promise that comes with that? Joy.
Maybe if I can teach myself to rest in who I am and quit trying to prove I’m anything more than a foreign servant accepted by God, then maybe joy–and its partner peace–would be a more common part of my life.
[Father, thank you that I am a foreigner welcomed into your house of prayer. Help me to have your joy and peace.]
What’s happening
Kim and I were at 3D Church in Olivia this morning. I was able to present the ministry in both services and we spoke to a number of people at our ministry table after services. Great people and Pastor Charlie is the real deal.
Tuesday Rich and I will be attending a pastor training event in Fayetteville.
Then I’ll be speaking at the First Wednesday service at Spout Springs Church, then giving the vision talk there on Sunday.
And I turned in Chapter Two of my dissertation.

As for us, Kim’s school year is going well, but plenty of room for prayer.
Pray as we continue to raise our support.
And my goal is to have my dissertation done by October, so lots of prayer and hard work required here.
